Community Projects Coordinator
Dana is an AmeriCorps Community Project Coordinator at YouthBuild Philly. She majored in English Education with a minor in Spanish at Elizabethtown College and has always had a passion for education and social justice. That makes YouthBuild a great place to start her career and give back to the community. A core component of Dana’s educational philosophy is that the main purpose of education is to help provide youth with the opportunity to form their own opinions and develop into free-thinking individuals. This goes hand in hand with YouthBuild’s mission to help its young people become “critically conscious leaders.” In her free time, Dana is heavily involved in the New Jersey Association of Student Councils’ Leadership Training Conference, where she has been volunteering for the past seven years. She enjoys reading fantasy novels, singing with her choir, writing fiction, and spending time with family and friends.
