DOL Grant Coordinator
Hallie Fischer has been working at YouthBuild Phillly since June of 2016. She previously did a Year of Service at YouthBuild Philly as an AmeriCorps VISTA in the Postsecondary Career Development Department during the 2012-2013 school year. In her current role, Hallie is the Department of Labor (DOL) Grant Coordinator, overseeing each student involved in the Reach Program that is funded by DOL. Hallie is also a newly-certified 200-hour yoga teacher and enjoys bringing the mind-body connection to the students of YouthBuild during yoga classes practiced on a weekly basis for those students interested in learning new things.
Hallie has a bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Criminal Justice and also earned a Master’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in the same field. Because of her past experiences working with incarcerated adults, Hallie wants to end the cycle of incarceration through the generations by enhancing opportunity for the youth at YouthBuild and showing them the positive lives they can live through education, encouragement and love.
During her free time, Hallie enjoys practicing yoga, being a mom to cat, Mango and is a huge Eagles Football fan.
