Mathematics Teacher

Rebekah Dommel has been teaching in Philadelphia since 2012 and entered teaching through the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows program. She is a math teacher who didn’t like math in school and cried in the 4th grade when learning how to do long division. Since then she’s come to love math and finds joy in helping students realize that math is fun (most of the time) and you do actually use it in your real life. She believes in teaching student-centered, meaningful curriculum that builds transferable skills. When she’s not crunching the numbers with her students you may find her riding her bike, taking care of plants, or binge watching British mini-series.
