Literacy Specialist

Frank Rocchi earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a concentration in Writing from Temple University in 2009. After working in publishing and customer service, Frank began his teaching career in 2011 – earning an alternative certification and then building a pilot program named “Bridge 2 Success” for the Center for Literacy in an effort to support students in alternative high schools who needed help with reading. After moving to Brooklyn, New York to be with his wife he spent 4 years working at Achievement First as a Pre-AP Literature teacher and helped build curriculum, pilot discourse programs, and re-think and reform the preparation cycles for state-mandated testing (The Regents). Now that Frank is back in his hometown he is thrilled to be working directly with students and teachers to make all classrooms a space where strong reading, writing, and speaking are the cornerstones of instruction!
