AmeriCorps Members have a unique opportunity to make a clear difference in the community to address significant issues related to poverty, inequity, and lack of access to education through a year of service.  During that year of service, AmeriCorps members make the commitment to understand those they serve, including earning a living allowance that reflects an average income level of the community. Joining AmeriCorps at YouthBuild Philly will allow you to have an experience similar to a staff member while giving a year of service in the community and members can anticipate being eligible for these benefits:
