“At YouthBuild I always felt connected. I looked forward to the hands-on learning, the worksite, and my classes. I wanted to be in school, and I’d never felt that way before. After YouthBuild I was employed at EducationWorks, and was inspired by my mentors at YouthBuild to be a mentor to the young people in that program. Now I’m in a pre-apprenticeship program for building maintenance and mechanics, and the self-management skills that I learned at YouthBuild are helping me succeed in the program.”
